As I join the peeps on the Metro in the morning I'm sure a lot of things will go through my head like..... "I can't wait to get to work", "Why doesn't he know that black and navy blue do NOT match!", "How much longer?", "Am I going to be prepared for this meeting that I have to conduct?", "What do I need to pray about today?", "I need to paint my nails when I get home", and of course.... "Do I have time to run to Starbucks today?"
My fear is that I will spend much more time then necessary thinking about the silly things instead of what's important.... or should I say... WHO is important.
Tonight at church I heard a really good sermon about fear. I have a lot going on currently that I have been fearful about. And it was great to hear that Christ is capable of taking care of ALL my fears, even the ones I don't recognize that paralyze me at times. You know what I'm talking about. When you find yourself either freezing or freaking out and you don't know why b/c you're so consumed with the fact that you have stopped doing what you want to do???
So, as I am taking t he quick commute in to DC tomorrow, I pray that I'll slow down long enough to be thankful and humbled.
