... wish one of these had been closer...
i'm wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else... so, this past week i've been kinda out of it (got my wisdom teeth out on monday) and so the pain medication has made me kind of spacey. anyway, i knew that i needed gas on tuesday afternoon. the gas low chime kindly reminded me. i usually have about 20-25 miles left once that happens. i drove to work on thursday and had some errands to run so i used more gas during the day. last night on my way home - i thought "i need to get some gas! i've got to be really low!" and then... nixon(the name of my jeep) started to chug . after the light turned green i stepped on the gas, it moved forward and then the sterring wheel was not turnable. i began to coast down king street for about 15 feet until it stopped. i put it in park and then called my roommates. thankfully, the Lord has has my life be a continual "docudrama" as one of my friends call it. so, things like this don't really phase me. i did get a hold of my roommate east and she was on her way. so, i took some time to catch up on a phone call with a good friend and that was good. i definitely wish that i had an iced latte while i was hanging out on king street.
anyway, i can't complain - the Lord had me slow down for a while and so i'm thankful for the blessing in Him making me stop for a while. maybe i should do that more often? :)

Oh my gosh Jen!! I almost had this happen to me thursday. What a co-winky-dink! I was running on mile 28 of the empty light being on. I was praying so hard I could make it to the gas station that was on my way to Bible Study that night. I made it - thank the Lord! Let's vow to never run on empty that long again. LOL GRIN
