Thank you Lord for fun girlfriends to celebrate with!

... the Lord is so merciful. As I reflect on what the Lord has provided in my life for the past 31 years I am overwhelmed with His provision. Seriously, if you think about it -- how many of us would have had our lives be what they are today, with our past as it has been. Exactly what I thought :)

But, what a great reminder it is - that although I make plans and try to have "control" of my life, I most surely do not.

But God knows -- Isaiah 55:11 "So is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

..... humility.....

It's been that kind of week so far. BUT GOD has been gracious in providing me with sight that is definitely not my own.

My circumstances have no impact on the truth of the gospel. That is encouraging. Although the Lord has chosen to give me a life with constant change, He has not changed. The scripture from Job provides comfort to my soul. Thank you all for praying -- keep on !

Job 11
"You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor."

Psalm 5:3
"In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation."

Finally, I have gotten to that point. Praise God. After weeks of fighting with the Lord to hurry up and bring me a job ASAP (really meaning yesterday!) - I am broken and it's a good place to be. I know that the Lord is working all this out for my good. The book Brokenness by Lon Solomon is a good book to read too! The Lord is gracious and kind. Entrust your cares to Him, He does listen. The best part is what He does with it. It's always better than what we'd think up :)

The Lord is definitely unfailing. This morning as I was driving in I saw my favorite thing in the sky... no, it was not an F-14A :) -- It was 3 birds. For years whenever I've seen 3 birds flying together it has reminded me of the Trinity. As this morning I was in tears due to the stress of this job search -- and the fact that yesterday's interview was the worst I'd ever had -- I felt the Lord hit me up side the head! He knows me! He is the One who is allowing this trial in my life. While I admit that I'm not afraid that He will provide, but the manner in which He will do it --
Deut. 31:8 "The Lord Himself goes before you and WILL be with you. He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged."

BAM! Fedor just was hit upside the head :)
