Encouragement: I've been very encouraged by some great people this week. Thank you to Antwon, Julie Jackson and Heather Kirkland. It's a blessing to have great friends and to be encouraged by you even when I didn't know I needed to be!

This thing called life is crazy, but thank you for walking it with me!

As I've been going through some struggles lately - I've been reading a great book by Larry Crabb, called "Shattered Dreams" - I highly recommend it to anyone.
It's encouraged me to think about how God takes the dreams that we hold so tight, destroys them or makes them empty only to bring us something better and new and bigger than we could have imagined.
That's the kind of truth that I want to have. I want to have the longing that although there are a lot of things I "want" - I have no clue how Christ will reveal His dreams for me once I get through this waist deep pride of how I think my health should be NOW, how I think my future boyfriend/husband should be NOW, and how much more $ I should be paid for my work NOW!
That's the truth - and I hope that while we're all on this side of heaven we continue to seek HIS version, not ours.

Ok, I did go and see this movie (Imagine that!) I did cry and I did feel patriotic, sentimental, and proud. Even though I was bothered that the movie wasn't filmed on campus and that some of the surroundings were not realistic - for example, there is not a ship yard across from USNA, instead there is the Chart House restaurant.
But, overall I liked the movie. It was encouraging to never give up - even when those around you tell you that you're not good enough or that you will never be able to accomplish anything.
And of course the fact that Donnie Wahlberg from NKOTB was in the movie! He is not too bad in the movie :)
