does it ever seem like your life is moving along and one day you realize that a month or more has gone by? Well, I was today! I remember telling friends that we would get together over 2 months ago and here I am, 2 months later and still haven't seen them! To my peeps that I was supposed to see or catch up with - please forgive me, I'm a yahoo!

So, I didn't want to get all hyped up about this season of Navy football... although to say that I haven't would be a lie. We're starting off the season with 0-2, which is not unlike my Mids.
But, the ONE game of the year that all the Navy fans put their hope in is at the end of the season... ARMY/NAVY Game! No matter how bad we do all season, how many times we've fumbled the ball, how many times we've run the option play, our hope is in the final game.
Tonight after having good times with some friends and talking about the book of Revelation I began to think to myself... "Self, what do you put your hope in? After you fumble every day and think that you can run the same play and not lose.... what do you hope in?"
Of course.... me and my military mind reverts back to all those awesome battles/wars in history that I love! Gettysburg, Revolutionary War, Civil War, and what can we see in that?
Answer: HOPE! The men leading those battles saw something in their soldiers (and in my case Midshipmen football players) that invoked hope in to their leadership. It made them want to work harder and focus on the last game.
They fought for lives of other people, and today we are reeping he benefits of their hard work.
So, let me ask you this.... Where is your hope? Are you in need of hope? I know that there are definitely some things I need to find some hope for... one of which is the game of the year...... :)
GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
I pray if you're reading this that you will find hope in someone or something greater then yourself. His name is Christ.
